The Journal of Fusion Energy is a peer-reviewed journal focused on the science, engineering and technology needed to advance thermonuclear fusion as a practical energy source. It publishes research spanning plasma physics, fusion reactor design, materials, diagnostics and emerging technologies, connecting fundamental discoveries with the challenges of developing viable fusion power systems.
An MIT plasma physicist and a financial economist have built a ten-parameter test, modeled on fusion’s famous Lawson criterion, that asks the question the industry tends to dodge: can a fusion power plant bring in more money than it consumes?
